Handcrafted in Ireland from authentic ancient Irish bog oak, this one-of-a-kind pendant carries thousands of years of natural history within its grain. Preserved beneath Irish peat bogs for millennia, bog oak develops its distinctive deep dark colour and unique character, making every piece completely individual.
The pendant is engraved with the Ogham word “ÁDH”, meaning “Luck” in Irish. Ogham is the earliest known form of written Irish, dating back over 1,500 years, adding a meaningful connection to Ireland’s rich cultural heritage.
A subtle hand-painted red accent along one side creates a striking contrast against the ancient black wood, symbolising warmth, energy, and vitality while enhancing the natural beauty of the piece.
The pendant measures 55 mm × 20 mm and is suspended from a 550 mm (55 cm) silver-plated chain, offering a timeless and minimalist look suitable for everyday wear or special occasions.
Each pendant is carefully carved and finished by hand in Ireland, ensuring that no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Small variations in colour, grain, and texture are part of the authenticity and story of this remarkable ancient material.
